Continued off and on again snow squalls Sunday, Monday and again this morning along with seasonably cold temperature keep winter hanging on in the New Hampshire’s White Mountains. In fact, weather experts agree that Gorham’s neighboring town, Randolph is the snowest area in all of New Hampshire. The result is that our snowmobile trails are extremely well covered and are currently in the best shape of the season. And all of our alpine ski resorts including nearby Wildcat, Sunday River and Bretton Woods are reporting 100% terrain open and covered with a deep base ranging from 24 to 54 inches. Ski surfaces have remained very winter-like with powder and packed powder being reported each morning.
Warmer temperatures are in the forecast for later this week and with that, spring skiing is right around the corner. With the depth of the snow-pack, we expect snowmobiling to continue at least to the end of March and skiing will continue into late April and possibly early May! Despite the long range outlook, be sure to take advantage of these current awesome conditions and hit the slopes or snowmobile trails this weekend while they remain in such great condition. We have room at the Inn and rates are at low season levels. We even have discounted lift tickets for Wildcat and Bretton Woods. Welcome to the Royalty Inn!
